Norflurazepam (N-Desalkyl flurazepam) is a metabolite of flurazepam. Flurazepam is a chemical which sits in the benzodiazepine class. It possesses anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties, and produces a metabolite with a very long half-life that ranges between 40 and 250 hours, and can stay in the bloodstream for up to four days.
